National Monuments
Hawaii is home to war monuments, forests and historical sites, so history buffs will be hard-pressed to be bored in Hawaii. Most monuments and sites are free of charge and open year-round.
Natural Wonders
Hawaii Island spans 4,028 square miles (and still growing) and features Kilauea (one of the world’s most active volcanoes), Maunakea (the world’s tallest sea mountain), Maunaloa (the world’s most massive mountain) and is home to all but two of the world’s climactic zones. Needless to say, natural wonders abound on Hawaii Island.
